Scholarship Winners Announced
Comanche Electric Cooperative proudly announces the winners of the Scholarship for Excellence and Operation Round Up scholarships. Each winner was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for the 2012-2013 school year.
CECA Scholarship For Excellence

| Tiffany McCaghren is a 2012 graduate of Cross Plains ISD. She is the daughter of Cindy and Johnny McCaghren. She will be attending Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, and is seeking a counseling degree. | Emily Murphree is attending Howard Payne University in Brownwood. with a minor in biology, specifically pre-pharmacy. Rachel is the daughter of Jack Guy Clawson of Comanche. | Maria Delores Garcia is a 2012 graduate of Gorman High School. She is the daughter of Gerardo and Maria D. Garcia. Delores will be attending Tarleton State University. |
CECA Scholarship Opportunities
Comanche Electric Cooperative takes the education of our youth very seriously, and we strive to encourage our youth
to pursue continuing education. It is to this end that we offer four $1,000 Scholarships For Excellence, and two $1,000 Operation Round Up Scholarships.
To qualify for the scholarships, students must be claimed as a dependent of parents or legal guardians who are active CECA members residing within the cooperative's service area. They must maintain a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and must meet general entrance requirements at an accredited school. The applicant can be a graduating senior or a student currently enrolled in a college or university.
For the Scholarships for Excellence, students are required to write an essay on the topic "How Emerging Technologies Fit Into Tomorrow's Power Supply". For the Operation Round Up Scholarships, an essay is not required, but students parents or legal guardians must be members of the CECA Operation Round Up program.
